Brunetti Cakes began trading at the Faraday street location in 1985 and the Angelé family acquired the business in 1991 and has transformed the lovely café that it was into a truly authentic roman pasticceria.

The Angelé family comes equipped with a wealth of experience in pasticceria and caffé as Giorgio Angelé began his training in Rome at the age of 10. In 1956 at the age of 23 Giorgio came to Australia with the Italian olympic team as a pastry chef and was given the opportunity to migrate here after the olympics. (23/01/2009 08:46:25)

Impress some clients and discuss business over lunch or simple catch up with some friends prior to a matinee movie or whatever reason, believe it or not, Brunetti offers a quiet little setting away from the Café in its Restaurant. There are a range of simple dishes on offer at Brunetti's such as panini, bruschetta, calzone and soup - but it would be a crime to leave without sampling something from the pasticceria section. Try the opera cake (layers of almond sponge, coffee butter cream and chocolate ganache), or a cup of mixed gelato. (05/01/2009 18:28:14)
