Intraluminal Suture MCAO Model
The middle cerebral artery (MCA) and its branches are the cerebral vessels most severely affected by ischemic stroke, accounting for approximately 70% of infarcts. Therefore, occlusion of this artery most closely resembles ischemic stroke in humans. In occlusive MCA stroke models, intra-arterial suture occlusion of the MCA (MCAO) is the most common method used in stroke studies in rodents. Craniectomy Model

Photothrombosis Model

We have made technical improvements to the photothrombosis model to make it more closely resemble the pathological process of ischemic stroke in humans.

The application of endothelin-1 can be effective in establishing focal stroke models. It has the advantage of less invasive techniques, low mortality, and the possibility of inducing direct focal ischemia in deep and superficial brain regions.
